Get To Know Me Better!

Choosing to dive into the realm of mental health wasn’t just a career path for me—it was a calling! I chose psychology out of sheer love and curiosity for the subject and decided to pursue a career in mental health at the age of 17, right after my very first Psychology lecture in the 11th standard.

I have always been inherently empathetic, open-minded, and non-judgemental as an individual.

Deciding to become a psychologist rooted from the committment to turn empathy into action. There’s something incredibly humbling about being invited into someone’s inner world, entrusted with their hopes, fears, and dreams – and being a tiny part of their their growth and transformation journeys is surreal.

Having seen the profound impact of therapy in my own life, I knew I had found my purpose: To simply walk alongside individuals as they navigate the ups and downs of their lives.

If you’re on the fence about therapy, I get it. I know it can feel like stepping into the unknown, but trust me, you’re braver than you think!

And here’s the thing – you’re not alone in this. Therapy is like having a trusted professional in your corner, guiding you through life’s ups and downs.

It’s a safe space for you to just be YOU and unpack your thoughts and feelings without any judgment. It’s a journey of self-discovery and healing, and I’ll be there to support you every step of the way!

Our first session together is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll take some time to understand your concerns, needs and goals, and what you hope to achieve from our time together.

It’s an opportunity for us to build rapport and for you to see if I’m the right fit for your journey. It’s a chance for you to ask questions, express any doubts you may have, and see if we’re a good fit to work together.

In the first session, I usually allow my my clients the space to take the lead. Whether you come with a clear goal in mind or simply seeking clarity, know that this space is yours to explore, to question, and to grow.

Therapy with me will be a collaborative journey where, together, we’ll ask and answer questions, deep dive into thoughts, emotions and experiences, solve problems, and learn new perspectives and tools to simply DO LIFE BETTER!

I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported!

What excites me most about being a psychologist is the sheer privilege of witnessing human resilience in action. Life throws us curveballs left, right, and center, but there’s something remarkable in supporting individuals rise from the ashes, stronger and wiser than before.

Being a part of that journey, even in the smallest way, is what fuels my passion for this work. It’s incredibly fulfilling to accompany individuals on their journeys toward healing, empowerment, and self-discovery. To be invited into someone’s inner world is an honour, and I don’t take that for granted.

I’m driven by a genuine desire to support others and contribute to their well-being. It’s my way of adding a little positivity to the world, one conversation at a time! 🙂

What sets me apart as a therapist is my genuine curiosity and ability to meet you where you are!

I’m not here to shove advice down your throat or nod along mindlessly. I’m here to roll up my sleeves and dive deep into the messy, beautiful journey of self-discovery WITH YOU!

That you DO NOT need to be at rock bottom to finally go to therapy. That you don’t need to wait for your problems to be “big enough” or “serious enough” before seeking help. That you don’t need to face the absolute insufferable before “deserving” support. That therapy is not for the “ill” or the “weak” or the “crazy” or the “desperate” – It’s for everyone!

Therapy is NOT just a solution to mental illnesses and crises, it is a path towards OVERALL growth and wellbeing – both physical and psychological. It is simply a tool for self-exploration and improvement. Think of it as a mental health check-up, the same way you get your bodies checked up every now and then.

Also, therapy is not a magical “quick fix” – it takes consistency, it takes patience, it takes reflection, it takes work! But don’t worry, I got you through it all! 🙂

My methods are integrative, combining evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral, mindfulness-based, narrative-based, acceptance and committment based, humanistic and client-centered therapy.

I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and preferences. After all, therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all – it’s about finding what works best for you and running with it.
